Your SX-Tool License Key is dispatched automatically to your shop account and email inbox instantly upon valid payment — there is no manual waiting step. Note that the download key used to unlock the installer is not the license itself; the license key is issued separately and is what activates the software on first launch.

License Types at a Glance

SX-Tool issues two families of licenses, and the difference matters before you order. Demo licenses are locked to one VIN and one PC for a 72-hour window with full functions enabled; official annual licenses unlock unlimited VIN on one PC with 12 months of updates and support. The 1-PC Rule and License Switching

Every license is tied to a single PC for security and stability — this keeps the installation known and supportable. If your laptop is reformatted, reinstalled, damaged or replaced while the license is still valid, we support a license switch to the new system at no extra charge. Demo licenses are the exception: they cannot be transferred.

Activation Tips

Frequently Asked Questions

My license did not arrive — what now? Check your spam folder and your shop account first; delivery is automatic and normally instant. If it is still missing after a few minutes, message us via contact or the chat bubble, bottom right, with your order number.

Can I use one license on two laptops? No — each license is bound to one PC. For multi-technician setups, ask us about additional licenses via contact before purchasing.

What happens when the annual license expires? Software updates and online functions stop at expiry; renewal is available from the shop at any time, and renewing before expiry keeps the installation untouched.

How do I request a license switch? Send your order number and the new machine details through ticket support — switches for valid official licenses are free.
