How the Retrofit Is Carried Out

The job splits into a hardware half and a software half — the mirror and camera go in physically, then the vehicle is told the ClearSight system exists. In sequence:

Physical installation:

1. The standard interior mirror comes off its windscreen mount and the trim cover is released
2. The roof fin is removed from above (headliner edge dropped at the rear for access) and the camera-equipped fin or camera module fitted
3. The coaxial harness is routed along the headliner's factory path from fin to mirror position
4. The ClearSight mirror is mounted and connected, and all trim refitted
5. Allow roughly two to three hours for a careful first-time installation
