Returns and Refunds: The Short Version

Our Returns and Refunds policy in one paragraph: eligible SX-Tool hardware in original condition can be returned within 30 calendar days of receipt for a refund minus applicable restocking fees, while activated software licenses, VIN-based codes and remote services are never refundable. Details and edge cases follow below.

Before You Return Anything

All units are tried and tested before dispatch, but transit damage happens — have your installer bench-test the unit before full installation. We are not responsible for installation costs, diagnostic checks or related costs such as transport, customs or time off work. Technical trouble first? Contact support before attempting a return — many issues resolve without shipping anything back.

What Cannot Be Returned or Refunded

The following are excluded from returns and refunds under all circumstances, because they are prepared, activated or performed specifically for your vehicle or account. If you are unsure which license fits your car, send us your VIN before purchase — that check is free.

• Opened products
• SX-Tool feature activations (products enabling additional vehicle features)
• Electronic software downloads and software upgrade program products
• OEM certificate files, activation codes, map PIN codes and anti-theft PIN codes ordered per VIN
• Activated system software registration licenses
• Completed remote-session online technical support
• Activated demo licenses (SX-Tool, SX-CAN, JET Pro, CCF editors and similar)

Return Conditions and Restocking Fees

Eligible returns must arrive in original condition with all accessories, manuals and documentation; buyers are responsible for return postage. Restocking fees depend on condition and timing, as captured in the table below. Wholesale and dealer orders are refundable as company credit only.

How to Return

Sign in to your shop account and use Order Status to initiate the return, or contact our service team via contact with your order number. Ship the item to the SX-Tool address we provide. Once we receive and inspect the item, we issue the refund and send you a return receipt confirmation email.

How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds initiate immediately once we receive your items. Credit-card refunds go to the card-issuing bank within five business days; your bank controls when the credit posts. Cash payments are refunded by check within 14 calendar days. Shipping and installation costs are never refunded.
